Town Rules and Regulations
The Town's Rules and Regulations are fully enforceable, and to the same extent as an Ordinance.
- Per Town Ordinance granting the Town Manager authority to regulate all Town properties, the following is the Town Manager’s decision:
Skateboarding will be allowed on all Town of Silver City sidewalks, except for Bullard Street, from College Avenue to San Vicente Street; and on Broadway Street, from Cooper Street to Highway 90 (Hudson Street).
Skateboarders will continue to be required to follow all Town and State of New Mexico Laws for the use of skateboards. The Town Manager stresses that skateboarders be courteous to pedestrians on sidewalks, as per the law, pedestrians have the right-of way on these sidewalks.

- Per Town Ordinance granting the Town Manager authority to regulate all town properties, the following is the Town Manager’s decision:
During the 18th Annual Silver City Blues Festival, May 24-26, 2013, skateboards, scooters, bicycles, or the use of them, dogs and wheeled vehicles other than service vehicles will not be allowed in Gough Park and the surrounding areas mentioned below:
- Main St. from 12th to 13th Streets the entire width and all the sidewalks;
- 12th St. from the middle of Pope St. to the east side of Main St including all sidewalks;
- Pope St. from south of 12th Street north of 13th St. including the sidewalks;
- The Town owned parking lot located on the south side of 12th St. on the NE corner of Pope St. and 12th St. Read more...
