Mission: To provide for the safety, health, and welfare of the citizens of the Town of Silver City. To manage the transition of Council strategy and policy into goals and action plans in the various departments. To manage human relations activities and services for the entire workforce. To conduct elections in accordance with New Mexico election laws, and comply with the New Mexico Open Meetings Act and Inspection of Public Records Act.
Description: The Executive Department consists of the Town Manager, the Assistant Town Manager, the Personnel Officer, the Town Clerk, the Information Technician and administrative support personnel. The Town Manager hires the department heads and, through the departments and their supervisors and associates, manages operations. The Town leadership is predominantly situational and closely follows the Total Quality Management (TQM) philosophy.
Goals and Objectives: To provide for, through the various departments, the safety, health, and welfare of the citizens of the Town. To provide the best basic services at the lowest cost possible. To continue the transition to Total Quality Management and constant improvement of customer satisfaction in all phases of Town operations.
