    AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 32 (NUISANCES), ARTICLE III (UNATTENDED VACANT BUILDINGS), SECTIONS 32-50 ET SEQ., OF THE TOWN OF SILVER CITY MUNICIPAL CODE.

    WHEREAS, Chapter 32, Article III, Sections 32-50 et seq. was a consequence of Ordinance No. 1211, adopted October 9, 2012, and entitled “An Ordinance Amending Chapter 32 (Nuisances), Article III (Unattended Vacant Buildings), Sections 32-50 et seq. of the Town of Silver City Municipal Code; and

    WHEREAS, the Town Council finds that changing circumstances within the Town requires a reexamination of the policies and practices which lead to the adoption of the aforementioned Ordinance; and

    WHEREAS, a program of enforcement for implementation of the dictates of Ordinance No. 1211 has yet to be established, and the Town Council intends to revisit the subject and entertain legislation at some future date which would address issues of vacant and unattended properties within the Town, including a reasonable framework of enforcement;

    NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF SILVER CITY, GRANT COUNTY, NEW MEXICO THAT: Chapter 32 (Nuisances), Article III (Unattended Vacant Buildings), Sections 32-50 through 32-64 of the Town of Silver City Municipal Code is hereby deleted in its entirety.
