BUILDING PERMITS AND INSPECTIONS

For building permits in the Town of Silver City and the surrounding three mile area of its extra-territorial jurisdiction (ETJ) contact David Farley at 575-543-6351 or at tscbuildinginsp@qwest.net. Applications for those building permits are available at the Community Development Department, which is located in the Town’s administrative annex building at 1203 N. Hudson Street. Building Permit Applications are also available in Adobe Acrobat PDF format for downloading. Permits for sewer (or septic) systems and water taps are required before a building permit will be issued. ETJ area maps are available for review and for purchase at the Community Development Department. For building permits outside the Town and its ETJ area contact Construction Industries Division (CID) in Las Cruces at 575-524-6320. This office of CID also manages permit applications and inspections for the plumbing, mechanical, and electrical trades. Building permits issued through the CID office in Las Cruces for construction in the ETJ area will not replace the requirement for building permits issued by the Town of Silver City.
